HighSage as artist words: HighSage (aka Shagghie) produces dark analogue techno, acid, and house. A world traveler and techno fanatic, he draws his heaviest influences from 89-91 San Francisco and Chicago warehouse parties, 92-95 Europe, UK, Madison WI, and Southern California raves. Currently playing out in the Southern California warehouse scene doing full hardware live techno sets based on Acidlab and vintage Roland hardware. Lucky7’s: Performed live in one take, it is an exploration of several modulations set against an 808 drumming foundation, exploring the dangers of modulating beyond the known bounds the original signal chain was set up to provide. A saturated and tape echoed 303 banasidhe screams at unpredicatable intervals throughout, overseeing a blanketed pad arpeggio set to an alternate time signature to the kick and snare. Innocent techno exploring the softer side of sevens. Acid Snow Storm: It’s 2042 and you’re flying what’s left of the luck dragon through acid snow clouds just above the remains of the Detroit skyline. Dodging roof-mounted laser cannons and acidlab tornados as you make your way to the last DEMF earth will ever see. Everything’s going to be ok, with your 303 thrown over your shoulder and enough brownies in your bag to get you there. The dragon squeals and squirms through the sky. It’s cold flying through the snow, yet…an inner analog warmth oozes out of the BA662a to keep the techno alive, forever.
