Blues artist Johnny Winter is a familiar name to anybody that appreciates slash-and-burn guitar, and Winter aficionados seem to be equally split between the musician's 1970s-era blues-n-roots-rock material on Blue Sky Records, and his later house-rockin' recordings for the Alligator and Point Blank labels during the 1980s and '90s.
