Den amerikanske folk/pop/country-duo The Civil Wars har for alvor skabt opmærksomhed med albummet ”Barton Hollow”, der udkom i USA sidste år på et lille independent label.
Efter deres mange nomineringer til bl.a. Americana Awards, Country Awards og senest 2 Grammy-nomineringer i kategorierne ”Best Folk Album” og ”Best Country Duo/Group Performance” udsendes albummet nu globalt på Columbia.
The Civil Wars består af John Paul White og Joy Williams og beskrives bl.a. som
”country-musikkens White Stripes”.
