The lyrics in Spanish moves ind and out of a surrealistic and humorous universe, dealing with everything from rubber boots (!) to gangsters – often with political undertones… The national radio of Colombia and the Latin American edition of Rolling Stone Magazine quickly embraced them… Sonora3 meets Meridian Brothers has been received with enthusiasm in Colombia, where the album among other things has been selected as Album of the Week on the national radio station and reviewed in Rolling Stone Magazine. The audience has called the concert experience evocative, dramatic, and astonishing. On stage the orchestra employs a broad dynamic range and anything can be experienced from dirty, clanking latin grooves and noise rock to electronic landscapes and delightful duets with double bass and clarinet. The group also works with visuals to support the imagery of their musical universe.
