Since Pearl Jam burst onto America's pop scene as part of 1991's Seattle music explosion, they have grown from being pigeonholed as a 'grunge' band to national recognition as one of the country's most innovative and honest rock bands. Eschewing media hype and heavy MTV airplay (they rarely make videos), Eddie Vedder and the boys have become known for their dedication to touring.
