The Éric Rohmer Collection Limited edition

Collection of ten films directed by Éric Rohmer. In 'The Marquise of O' (1976) the beautiful widow Marquise of O (Edith Clever) is captured and assaulted by Russian soldiers. Unconscious during the attack, it is only later that she discovers she is pregnant, and her initial shame and embarrassment about what has happened gradually escalates into panic and desperation.

'Perceval' (1978) follows the adventures of Sir Perceval (Fabrice Luchini), a legendary knight of the Round Table. In 'The Aviator's Wife' (1981) the jealous Francois (Philippe Marlaud) is devastated to find his wife Anne (Marie Rivière) with her ex Christian (Mathieu Carrière). In 'A Good Marriage' (1982) a middle-class French girl (Beatrice Romand) tires of her free and easy single lifestyle and decides she wants to get married.

At a wedding reception she meets a suitable man and engineers a romance for the most part in her own head. In 'Pauline at the Beach' (1983) Marion (Arielle Dombasle), a beautiful divorcée, decides to spend the last few weeks of summer at the family beach house in Normandy. She takes along her 15-year-old cousin Pauline (Amanda Langlet), a sensitive and fragile girl on the verge of womanhood.

At the beach the two meet up with Pierre (Pascal Greggory), Marion's humourless and obsessive ex-lover, who offers to teach them windsurfing and introduces them to his friend Henri (Féodor Atkine). Marion soon falls for Henri, despite Pierre declaring his love for her. Meanwhile, Pauline has quietly become involved with teenage Sylvain (Simon de la Brosse).

In 'Full Moon in Paris' (1984) young French woman Louise (Pascale Ogier) leads a double life, but is not satisfied with either. She flits between her country retreat, shared with her boyfriend Remi (Tchéky Karyo), and her Parisian apartment, where she is subject to the entreaties of a young suitor. In 'The Green Ray' (1986), following a recent break up, lonely Parisian Delphine (Rivière) was expecting to spend the summer in Greece, but after being let down by her travelling companion at the last moment, she decides to go away on her own.

After visiting Cherbourg, the Alps and the beach, she meets a fellow female traveller who tries to cheer her up - but their friendship is short-lived as the two women clash over their differing views on love. In 'Four Adventures of Reinette and Mirabelle' (1987) Joelle Miquel and Jessica Forde play two women, one from the town, the other from the country, whose lives interweave in four unique stories. The first is set in the country, where they first meet, and the stories follow them to Paris where they become flatmates and have to deal with a waiter, a kleptomaniac and an art dealer.

'My Girlfriend's Boyfriend' (1987) focuses on two girls who become attracted to each other's boyfriends but each is reluctant to admit their true feelings. Finally, in 'The Tree, the Mayor and the Mediatheque' (1993) the mayor of a small French town uses his contacts to get the money to build a new entertainment hub.
