Once again a unique selection that Massimo Palombella has prepared with original manuscripts from the Vatican libraries - each work is a musical resurrection of its kind.

It is the continuation of a unique journey through the liturgical year with the Pope's choir of the Sistine Chapel. After the fantastic success of last year's Christmas program with Cecilia Bartoli, we approach Easter with a beautiful selection of songs that accompany the festive ceremonies up to the resurrection. This series of state-of-the-art recordings of the Sistine Chapel Choir for Deutsche Grammophon is an authoritative and deeply beautiful example of the continuing importance of humanist, Renaissance and Baroque masterpieces in the pope's celebrations of the 21st century and around the world.
