Battle Cry

The Ground Zero Project The Ground Zero Project is a recording venture made up of Scott (S.A.R.) Radosevich and Timothy (T.C.) McGill, along with a group of the most notoriously dangerous musicians from California's Central Coast and across the United States. The music is progressive, passionate and powerful, drawing rhythmically, melodically and harmonically from many cultures and time periods. The Ground Zero Project pulls these, often diverse, styles together, fuses them seamlessly and pumps them full of Holy Spirit firepower. Picture if you will: The members of ELP, Kansas, Argent, Uriah Heep, Dream Theater and Deep Purple get together and decide to start a Christian band. So they enter a Matter Integrator (Giant Blender) and throw the main switch. The result would be similar to the sound of The Ground Zero Project. Powerful Christian Progressive Rock Don't take my word for it, read what the critics have to say: Michael Popke of PROGRESSION MAGAZINE calls The Ground Zero Project: 'Christian progressive rock with heavy duty Christian references/ a blend of old school Kansas and Christian rockers Petra.' and BATTLE CRY: 'A concept work of sorts that encompasses all of the Biblical biggies', 'The project's work is admirable.' Dave Taylor of VIRTUOSITY says: 'The debut CD from California's The Ground Zero Project, BATTLE CRY is quite a pleasant surprise. The music should please even the pickiest prog-heads out there, especially those that like heavy, odd-time signature, keyboard-lead tunes infused with deep spiritual themes in the lyrics.' 'The keyboards are a lot more prominent than the guitars in most of the songs, but the music retains the bombastic heaviness that bands like Dream Theater and ELP showcase.' 'I heartily recommend it, and look forward to a sequel.' Javier Elizondo of PROGFREAKS.COM says of The Ground Zero Project: 'This band serves up a cocktail of 70's prog rock with a mixture of heavy riffs, and powerful melodies, along with deep Christian concepts and lyrics.' 'My suggestion for you would be to completely forget about the tag, Christian. Not because of the ideas and concepts it offers, but because most people perceive this type of music as the peaceful songs they hear in church. The Ground Zero Project offers a completely different universe. A great bet, especially for all of you symphonic rock fans out there.' Nigel Camilleri of THE DUTCH PROGRESSIVE ROCK PAGE says: 'The Ground Zero Project has managed to conjure up a magnificent debut album, featuring much of what classical rock, as well as progressive rock, lovers would want in an album.' So climb aboard The Ground Zero Project bullet train, and go for a ride.
