The Parables of Jesus Through the Eyes of a Grandma

The Parables of Jesus Through the Eyes of a Grandma is an interaction between a grandmother and her grandchildren as she is reading the parables from the Bible. The first parable is "The Soils," and the children are drawn in by the way their lives are related to the story. In "The Lost Sheep" they enjoy the analogy of Jesus as the shepherd of not traditional sheep, but of all the people in the world. This book gives a little twist to the sharing of Jesus' teachings in a way children will understand. Renee Howard is married and lives with her husband in beautiful Colorado. She has two children, two step-children, ten grandchildren, and a large extended family that live in Colorado and Indiana. She is a retired elementary and middle school teacher who is enjoying time with her grandchildren. Renee is a devoted Christian, is involved in her home church, and many activities outside of church. She loves to listen to Christian music with her husband, Todd, and their grandchildren. Chelsea Hoffman lives in Loveland, Colorado, with her husband, Stephen, their two dogs and cat. She first met Renee's husband at the middle school where they teach together. When Todd introduced her to Renee, Chelsea's dream to illustrate a book became a reality. She is a strong Christ follower, and loves the opportunity to use the artistic gifts God has given her to illustrate her first book.
