The Wanderer's Belt

Publisher Marketing: I do not know how many times the glass had turned before I sat bolt upright in the bed. My body was drenched with cold sweat. The sound of a silent scream echoed in my head. It grew louder and resolved itself into a single madness tinged word. "Noooooooo!" The Celesta elf Ty'more is a priestess of the Wanderer, the God of travelers, ritual magic and righteous retribution. Her friend Sopwith, is a Sprite who is dedicated to creating chaos. While Ty'more's life is has never been dull, it becomes more chaotic than even she could imagine when the Wanderer sends her to find Lodestone, the Master Bard Sheer'An's mate. Ty'more and Sopwith decide to travel Cel'mystry's main trading route, the Wanderer's Belt, with Master Jubal's caravan so that they can learn more about Lodestone. It is a journey that will change their lives forever. When Sopwith's expends too much of his life force during one of Ty'more missions, she is forced to place her trust in Sheer'An and her family in order to save him. It is a wise decision, one that will ultimately bring her many valuable lessons. The Wanderer's Belt is filled with the same blend of action, wit, humor, and strong character development that authors Ponder and Nash are known for. As the characters themselves put it: "Is it always like this with you people?" (Sopwith) asked... "Pretty much," Redbow said... "Well," (Ty'more) said, ... "I do not know why the Wanderer led me to these people but I can tell that the time I spend with them will not be dull." Contributor Bio:  Ponder, Monica Monica Ponder's avocation is Nursing. Having made the difficult transition from bedside care to administration, she has provided a number of clinically related articles and educational pieces for use by her place of employment. Monica's vocation (and method of retaining her sanity) is creative writing. Her genre of choice is fantasy but she has dabbled with poetry, song lyric writing and other types of fiction all of which have (mercifully) remained unpublished. Monica is a voracious reader, a sometime participant in medieval re-enactment, a passionate fan of filk music (a form of folk music which uses science fiction or fantasy subjects and parody as its major themes) and an ardent pursuer of anything offbeat and nonconformist. She lives in Montgomery, Illinois with her two dogs and an eclectic assortment of better than ordinary neighbors. S. P. Nash is a person who values anonymity highly; so highly in fact that many people, including some of his co-workers wonder sometimes if he truly exists as a person or if he is in reality a pooka in human form. Like many authors Mr. Nash resisted the urge to write anything other than the most essential life-related notes for many years. He started giving in to the temptation of writing creatively when he reluctantly consented to act as the "detail man" for the first of the Cel'mystry Chronicles. It took several years for the transformation to be complete, but the urge to be creative finally eroded his sensibility to the extent that he agreed to "come forward" and let the magnitude of his contributions to these books be revealed. Mr. Nash is a voracious reader, a passionate fan of filk Music, and a sometime medieval re-enactor, with a history of accomplishments in martial arts, metal smithing and jewelry making, and a collector of eclectic ideas and unusual concepts. He is a highly intelligent man with an engineer's mindset and an attention to detail that borders on being obsessive. Mr. Nash lives in a section of Aurora, Illinois where his presence will attract the least amount of attention. Contributor Bio:  Nash, S P Monica Ponder's avocation is Nursing.
