Sometimes we have no choice but to write, it's like a tornado has built up inside us and if we don't let rip with the whirlwind of words that are spinning in our soul, it will surely kill us. As you will see, this is a book about beauty, inspired by a beautiful tradition of eloquent speech, story and poetry that goes beyond cultural boundaries, religion or belief systems. Each of these writings are inspired by the natural world and a deep longing to see the divine in everyday life. If we allow ourselves to become lost in the exquisite words, to go beyond the self of who we think we are, we are able to see that we are all holding the most beautiful gift, which is ever present in the centre of our being. We all love stories, as children we are fascinated by our imagination, adventures and epic journeys. Story and poetry is a great gift that can take us back the very essence of who we are. Yet if we become too analytical, we can read hundreds of books, but still we miss the point. So by using eloquent language we can open our heart, as well as our mind and become the very music of life as it lives inside us, and touches the ancient chambers of the heart and soul. In these words we find a language that can express that deep longing we all share, so when we reach that point where our body dissolves back into the mystery from which we all arose, we are able to look back at this exquisite gift of life with gratitude and appreciation. This book is my attempt to share some of the beautiful of life that goes beyond the usual mountain of words we digest everyday. Here are poems and writings that hopefully express with eloquence the incredible gift of life. Some cultures believe that through language we have the opportunity to offer something beautiful and mysterious back to this world as an offering. And through this treasure of words, the divine may just hear the longing and grief that weaves the very contours of our heart. By creating beautiful offerings with our words, the beloved responds by showing us the very beauty that we are, and by trying to express the beauty of our being, maybe, just maybe, we wake up to the ever present now! With this in mind, I hope you enjoy this offering and through its tangled web you may also jump up and have the confidence to find that expression of your deepest soul on its way back home, .
