Religion is a very personal belief and set of experiences, and some people seem very comfortable with the religion they were born into and grew up in. Some people seem to be more seekers, who have questions about their given religion and want to know about other religions. Some people believe that each major religion offers wisdom that they can benefit from. This book is the type of book for those who are seeking and wondering. Jude's experiences began with a vivid dream that encouraged her to go off to Egypt to try and understand what it was all about. She then traveled to Syria and India, all the while being open to experiences and accepting the guidance that she felt she was being given. It's written in the present tense, so it seems very immediate and the reader can share in the experiences along with her. She presents experiences and beliefs from various religions including Sufism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Catholicism and focuses on the similarities between them and how they all, no matter how different they seem, have certain very similar characteristics.
