THIS BOOK IS ABOUT MAKING FAST PROGRESS IN LIFE. SPEED IS A NECESSITY A man is born with a mandate to do great exploits, the record of which the world would not contain, but has only three and half years to complete his task. What do you think would be the approach of such a man to work? Slow but steady? Any man that understands the magnitude of his divine assignment and the very brief time he has for its realization will never be slothful in business. Speed is a necessity. If you must realize your destiny, you do not just need to be fast, you need to be very, very fast. Whatsoever God destined you to do, you need to do it very quickly. King David said, "...the king's business required haste" (1 Sam. 21:8). The truth is, speed is more required now than ever-you need to be faster in your destiny-realizing efforts than those who lived in the past millennia. The era of "slow but steady" is long gone. No man can run with the pace of a snail and cope in this speed-conscious age. The emphasis worldwide is on excellence and speed. People want the best answer the next second. People want excellent result at the speed of light. The world is increasingly impatient with mediocrity and delay and you need to have excellence and speed as your success-benchmarks. Globally, products that are efficient sell better. For this reason, manufacturers are doing all manner of product upgrading to remain competitive in the market. It is the in-thing for companies to label their products with catchwords and phrases that convey the sense of speed to the buyers. The truth is, you are on your own if you pursue the realization of your destiny with the speed of a snail. God is a Person of speed, "...the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud" (Isaiah 19:1). The psalmist put it beautifully, "...runneth very swiftly..." (Ps. 147:15 The Word of God). The Spirit and the angels of God fly in their missions (Daniel 9:21). If you must go with God, you must make up your mind to be a person of speed.
