Gisli has been compared Dinosaur Jr, the Beta Band and called 'the Icelandic Beck'. But with inspirations that include Eels, ‘60s guitar pop and contemporary hip hop as well as a line in neat one-liners, he’s so much more than that. It’s his lyrics that really mark him out, his music includes references to binge drinking, stockbrokers who used to be broke and of course a horrible day with Gareth Gates.
