This reissue is produced by the Grammy Award winning Henry Sapoznik utilising some of the rarest and most interesting sides from his own collection. The contributions of Italian-Americans to American music was immense and they certainly added something of Italian musical culture to the great melting pot. This fascinating release will appeal to a wide range of people-jazz fans curious about the great number of Italian-Americans in the early white jazz scene, students of the history of popular music and the great many people who have purchased the previous JSP World Music box sets which featured vintage recordings from countries like Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey.
