Singer/Songwriter Kathy Ashworth brings a little fun, a little attitude and whole lot of heart to her critically-acclaimed, self-titled CD. Having written or co-written all 12 songs, Kathy explores the journey that love, heartbreak, and life take us on. In the highly requested and fervently downloaded song, "Daddy Let Go," Kathy showcases the indelible relationship between fathers and daughters. In the emotional "I Should Be So Lonely," Kathy sings about the yearning for that bare-your-soul kind of love. On the lighter side, "It's More Fun to be a Girl" will have girls of all ages turning it up and singing along. The provocative "Girl In the Mirror" is a personal favorite of Kathy's, as she writes and sings about the pressures teenage girls face, especially from themselves. Originally from Newport Beach, California, Kathy currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee, where she is thankful to work with some of the best writers, musicians and artists in the world. She credits her variety of styles and tastes to influences like Bonnie Raitt, the Beach Boys, the Eagles, the Go Go's, Lucinda Williams, Jeffrey Steele and Hank Williams, Sr. Kathy is currently working on her second CD as well as writing for other artists. She has has several songs cut by independent artists such as Melinda Myers, Crystal Lynn and Misty Loggins ('Trail of Light' Recovery CD).
