March of the Saint Bonus Tracks edition

Formed in Los Angeles during the early eighties, Armored Saint rubbed shoulders with an impressive array of local hard rock talent including such well known names as Dokken, Malice, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Motley Crue (Tommy Lee being nearly an early member of AS) and, perhaps their biggest rivals, Metallica. In fact, Metallica were so enamored by their ability to deliver, they even attempted, on more than one occasion, to purloin vocalist John Bush and bassist Joey Vera for their own designs. Signed to major label Chrysalis Records in 1984, the Saint knuckled down to the task of recording their debut album with producer Michael James Jackson who'd previously tackled the knobs for Kiss among others. The resultant March Of The Saint album is regarded, by those who know such things, as one of the era's best examples of no frills power metal. Subsequent tours with both W. A. S. P. and Metallica further enhanced their reputation as one of the best live bands on the scene.
