smiled. Working with producers like Dave Bartholomew and

Allen Toussaint produced the sounds that he had in his head.

Like blues - but not the rural, 'work-up-this-morning' and

acoustic guitar kind. A more funky, piano-based style, with horns

and drums that kept everything a-rollin'. That kind of thing. A

precursor of rock and roll; it was a sound meant for juke boxes.
