After being the front-man for 14 years with six albums from Los Angeles' Grammy awards winning Wallflowers, 'Woman And Country' is the second solo album for singer-songwriter Jakob Dylan. Breaking away from hit rock/pop with the Wallflowers, 'Women And Country' contains beautiful harmonies and haunting beats with an overall rough tone. Lyrics akin to those of his father, with some amazing songs like "Down On Our Own Shield". With the excellent production from T-Bone Burnette this is a beautiful and haunting collection of songs. Jakob has most definitely assumed his own place in the firmament of musicians apart from the very large footprints his dad left.
