The book is a beginner's book that teaches you how to make modern Bronze age, Iron age and Viking braids in your hair and has braids both for  women, men, boys and girls.
The book also is a fantastic teaching book for all teachers and mediators who want to create a workshop for students and the audience. 
Each braid is indicated by its degree of difficulty;  "Easy", "Medium" and "Difficult" and how long it takes to make the braid and the things you need.
On the historical facts pages, you can read about the historical sources Annette Collin has used as inspiration for her Viking braids; 

• the over 2.000 years old "Bredmose braid" which is based on a find of a woman with red hair from the iron age found in Denmark in the parish of Store Arden, 
• the the fantastic find from the iron age of "Vingmose braids" discovered at a small bog called Vingmose in Jutland, Denmark, where a woman cut off her beautiful braids and sacrificed them to the gods.
• In addition, you can also read about the beautifull discovery found in Vimose on the island of Funen in Denmark; a comb decorated with runes.
